The Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Program (SCDTP) at Manning Family Children's and satellite locations throughout Louisiana is responsible for the care of more than 300 patients with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and other hemoglobinopathies.
At the SCDTP, our team provides the most advanced, comprehensive care to children with SCD and other hemoglobinopathies in Louisiana and the Gulf South region. Care is provided by nationally recognized hematologists that are active members and leaders of the Louisiana Commission on SCD, The American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology's Hemoglobinopathy Section, Foundation for SCD Research, and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Southeast Louisiana.
We actively participate in several industry-sponsored clinical trials and national research initiatives to offer the most advanced and up-to-date treatments for our patients locally.
