For more than 70 years, Manning Family Children’s has stood in the gap for kids and families in their most fragile moments. As the leading provider of neonatal intensive care in Louisiana and the Gulf South, we’ve delivered the most advanced care available for critically ill and premature newborns for decades.

Today, our 35-bed Level IV NICU is operating beyond capacity, as it has for more than two years. The space, technology, and infrastructure no longer match the excellence of the care we provide.

To change that, we’re launching a transformational project to define the next generation of care for our tiniest, most fragile patients. We’re making a bold commitment to build an expanded, state-of-the-art 60-bed Level IV NICU — one that fully embodies our mission and ensures we can always say “yes” to the babies who need us most. Join us at the 2nd annual Louisiana Legacy as we raise funds for Louisiana's Littlest.

On Thursday, October 1, Manning Family Children's will present the 2nd annual Louisiana Legacy celebration from 7-10 pm at the Orpheum Theater, hosted by Olivia and Archie Manning and Ellen and Cooper Manning, and Co-Chaired by Courtney and Ted Le Clercq and Tina and Barry Kern. The event will honor this year's Louisiana Legacy award recipient, cherished community member and philanthropist, Mrs. Betty Lauricella.

We are thrilled to welcome culinary icons Emeril Lagasse and E.J. Lagasse, two generations of chefs who share a passion for exceptional food, hospitality and giving back to the community. They will join the fireside chat with the Mannings alongside WWL Radio Play-by-Play Voice of the Saints Mike Hoss and comedian and content creator Josh Mancuso to talk food, football, and all things New Orleans.

Guests will also enjoy live performances by Irma Thomas and Kristin Diable, all while helping raise vital funds for the new 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Manning Family Children’s.
